I am a self-taught artist currently living in Glasgow who, after many years of pondering whether to venture into self-employed territory, took the plunge of becoming a full time professional artist.

 

Through my art, I strive to create the most lifelike, hyper-realistic painting as possible for you, hoping to achieve an effect that not only completely captures the personality and emotions of your pet exactly as you know them but to also make it seem like they could jump right off the page and be at your side.

 

Throughout the drawing process, I will send you pictures of the process so you can watch your portrait gradually come to life. During this time, if there is a little something you would like to ask me to change, this will give you the perfect opportunity to do just that.

 

I gladly accept commissions from anywhere across the globe with finished paintings being securely wrapped up and packaged with instructions on how to care for your portrait.

 

 

 

Art Materials

 

In order to achieve an almost 3D like painting of your pet, I use the highest quality pastel materials which I have ensured are extremely light-fast. This means the pigment laid down by the pastels won’t fade over time, enabling you to enjoy your portrait for many, many years to come, looking as if it has just been freshly drawn.

 

To accompany the pastels, I use some of the best pastel papers available that allow me to create every tiny, minuscule fine hair detail that helps me add as much life to your portrait as possible. These papers are archival and 100% acid free, preventing the paper from discolouring or fading over time.

 

If you would prefer something a little more dramatic, I can also create a black and white drawing of your pet in graphite should you prefer that instead. Again, I use only the best quality, highly light-fast graphite pencils coupled with 100% acid free, archival Bristol board paper.

 

By combining these materials, I assure you that you will be getting nothing but the best to enable me to recreate your special friend.
